The context

Used-car buyers face a fundamental information problem: sellers know the vehicle's history; buyers don't. A professional pre-purchase inspection closes that gap but only if the process is fast enough to fit inside a typical purchase negotiation and trustworthy enough that both buyer and seller accept the findings. CheckMyRide built their reputation on exactly that: certified mechanics, structured reports, and a 60-minute turnaround guarantee.

We built the platform that makes that promise operationally possible at scale from the consumer booking flow through mechanic dispatch, structured report submission, and admin oversight replacing a patchwork of emails, phone calls, and manual coordination with a single coherent system.

The challenge

The Challenge

As booking volumes grew, coordinating inspections over email and phone became a bottleneck. Mechanics were receiving job details through informal messages, had no standardised way to capture inspection findings in the field, and report delivery to customers was inconsistent sometimes delayed, sometimes missing sections altogether.

On the admin side, there was no unified view of the pipeline: leads from the website, active bookings, and completed inspections lived in separate tools with no single source of truth. Assigning a mechanic to a booking or chasing an overdue report required manual back-and-forth that didn't scale.

Our solution

What We Built

A consumer-facing booking platform where buyers select their inspection tier (Standard, Enhanced, Routine Check-Up, or Full-Spectrum), specify mobile or drop-off service, and submit their vehicle details. The system captures leads and converts confirmed bookings into structured jobs dispatched directly to the assigned mechanic.

Mechanics receive their assigned bookings with full vehicle and location details, log vehicle receipt in the field, and submit inspection reports through a structured multi-section form covering every parameter for the chosen inspection tier. Admins review submitted reports, edit if needed, send them directly to the customer, and export them as PDFs all from the same dashboard that shows the live lead and booking pipeline.
